MediaLiberated was a key partner in the production of the Guild of Music Supervisors’ 13th Annual GMS Awards, which took place on February 16, 2022. The GMS Awards Show is a prestigious event that recognizes the outstanding work of music supervisors in various industries, including film, television, games, advertising, trailers, and emerging media. The event features performances by renowned artists and is attended by industry leaders, making it an important event in the music industry calendar. Our team is responsible for the production of video production for this live event with IMAG, equipment, and crew, successfully distributing the awards show program to a private audience. In addition to this, we produced a recap promo/sizzle video to highlight the memorable moments of the night and behind-the-scenes videography. Our team also produced two short documentaries, ensuring the films accurately represented the recipients’ stories and contributions to the music industry.

challenges
The challenge for MediaLiberated in producing the Guild of Music Supervisors’ 13th Annual GMS Awards was to successfully deliver an uninterrupted broadcast to the virtual audience while adapting to the live environment. This type of production can be particularly challenging due to the complexity of coordinating multiple cameras, sound sources, and lighting in real-time, while also ensuring a smooth distribution of the livestream to viewers. Technical issues, such as network connectivity, camera malfunctions, and sound quality problems, can also occur and need to be quickly resolved to avoid disrupting the broadcast. Additionally, the coordination between the production team and the event organizers is crucial to ensure that the video production accurately captures the event and that the livestream runs smoothly. Overall, MediaLiberated faced a range of challenges in producing the GMS Awards Show, but with their experience and expertise, they were able to successfully deliver a high-quality livestream broadcast to the virtual audience.
