We had the honor of producing a concert film for Andre Cymone’s “Resurrection of the Funk Tour” at the legendary Mint LA. The Mint has been a fixture in the Los Angeles music scene for over 80 years, and has played host to some of the biggest names in music. This one-of-a-kind live event featured a star-studded lineup of seasoned legends and local up-and-comers, including Kellindo Parker and Lantz Lazwell and the Vibe Tribe. As former bass player for Prince, Andre Cymone is a legendary musician in his own right, and we were thrilled to capture the energy and excitement of his live performance on film.

For the Andre Cymone concert, our concert film production company (concertFilms.com) and agency provided 5-camera cinematography and multitrack recording, along with pre-production planning, coordination with the venue staff, and post-production editing and mastering. The footage was then taken to our studio, and the audio was mixed & mastered at two separate studios to create a high-quality concert film that truly does justice to the talent of the artists involved.

Capturing Andre Cymone and the dynamic performances of all 8 performers on stage presented several technical and logistical challenges for our concert film production company and agency. We needed to coordinate multiple camera operators and audio engineers to capture every moment in detail, anticipate spontaneous movements, and showcase every element of the show. We also had to work closely with the artist’s management and the venue’s lighting director to ensure that the lighting and staging were optimized for filming. Through careful planning and collaboration, we successfully delivered a high-quality concert film that captures the energy and excitement of the event.
